Sarah Stanley
Producer
Sarah Stanley has been comfortable on stage from an early age as a dancer, actress and musician. However, during university her
sights have turned towards the world behind the stage. Her most recent roles have included Assistant Director for Opera Society's production of Acis and Galatea, and she is currently the Production Manager for CHMS's production of Sweet Charity. Sarah has thoroughly enjoyed taking on the challenge of Producing her first Opera.
Richard Oakman
Co-Director
Richard is currently studying in his 3rd year and has been involved in various different productions both at university level and outside of university. Last year Richard produced the CHMS production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and is currently producing the main February show Sweet Charity. This is the first proper show Richard has directed but he has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people.
Rachel Higgs
Co-Director
Rachel Higgs is a third year undergraduate who has been
involved in many productions at York. She has performed in studentwritten musicals, Opera Society's Don Giovanni and Cendrillon, and CHMS' Witches of Eastwick, as well as Sweet Charity (Charity) later this year. Through these societies she has gained directorial experience, directing numbers for showcases and leading workshops on characterisation in song. Rachel is thrilled to be working with such a talented and enthusiastic cast!
Rebecca Adams is in her third year, and during her time
here she has danced in Fusion on Film, the competition team, and acted as Musical Director for Dance Society. Her choreography experience includes the University of York Opera Society's production of Cendrillon at The Grand Opera House, the CHMS February shows The Witches of Eastwick and forthcoming Sweet Charity, the inaugural 'Inter-University Musical Theatre Festival' and Wonderland: A New Musical.
